alaskanzx5
So the back seat doesn't fold down? If it doesn't fold down it really wouldn't matter much if you did the 2 15 our the 2 12 because the seat will muffle the sound some. The 2 15 would have more output then the 2 12 so even though it would be muffled I think it would help to have the bigger speakers since the seat doesn't fold down. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. FreeZzy
alaskanzx5 So it's better to take 2 15" ?
Joe X
I wouldn't do the 2 15 firing back because there would be no return path for soundwaves to the cabin, the box would be basically sealing itself off as it takes the full height and width of the trunk. FreeZzy
Joe Xit's not wrong ... so if i want make box with RE audio Calculator that's not good ? But i don't know how to use Torres
Guest
torres is actually extremely simple. it just looks intimidating. literally only has a few more features than RE box calc, and also tells you a lot more useful information. FreeZzy
maybe you can help me to make this box ? but for now i don't know if i buy 2 RF 12" OR 2 JL 13w7 If i make a box with 2 JL 13w7, i just have 2 inch between top of box and trunk top ... and that was the same problem with 2 15" :s
Joe X
Here's an example of how to use Torres calculator on 2 T212s and on your dimensions, subs and port firing backwards, hopefully you can take it from here: Port parts: 2 x Front to Back: 21 3/4" x 14 1/2"2 x Extension: 3 1/16" x 14 1/2" 45 corners: 2" wide. The 13w7s and the 2 T2 15s boxes were not that different in size and couldn't determine if they would fit in their way in.
alaskanzx5
Joe since the seat does fold down having the subs firing toward the seats would muffle the sound. The bigger box for the 15s during forward with more cone area could give him more output in the cabin right? Already that's what i'm thinning. The bigger box firing forward would help force the sound waves through the back seat and into the cabin IMO. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Joe X
If the subs are right against the backseat probably I wouldn't like the idea very much, but I can't know that, I just posted the box above so that he checks out how Torres works. FreeZzy
Thank you for this exemple I just have a question, it's not better to make port at the end of box? Like right or left ? I don't want the subwoofer are turning to the seats but towards the trunk opening ..
