gattiboy13
I want to put an external fan on my amp...what do i need and how?
hazestorm23
Why do you think you need one? Is the amp in a small space or gets hot quick? And are you trying to get a fan on top of it pointing down or beside it? And what amp are you using?
goldeneye4564
any 12volt computer fan will work. you could try and splice off the remote wire but it is better to splice off the remote wire to a relay then use that to power the fan. just my .02 and edit: make a small mdf frame and mount it to your amp rack. TylerParrish
I just hooked my ground to the amp ground and positive to remote, butttt a relay would be ideal. gattiboy13
So from fan run a ground with amp ground to metal and a remote from fan to amp remote input?
goldeneye4564
if you are going to do it that way, splice from amp remote to fan positive, then fan negative/ground to frame/amp ground. i wouldnt do it that way though.
