cassshhhtela Posted December 13, 2013 Report Posted December 13, 2013 Hi, I have an old class d amp st-1000d model working perfectly, I would like to know if this amp works fine at .75 ohms. I'm buying a JL Audio 13W7-D1.5 and want to know if this amp can work well with this sub. Tanks...
gattiboy13 Posted December 13, 2013 Report Posted December 13, 2013 Why buy a sub that is gonna run that low? The only way to know is to try it and if it does it wont last long at that low of an impedance.
Andreetje77 Posted December 13, 2013 Report Posted December 13, 2013 I had a similar amp like it( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143832-spl-dynamics-dig-1450/) and it should do 0.7Ohm but not less.

Andreetje77 Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 You will have to have good stabile electrics, and keep watching the temperature. I had mine on a DD 2510-d2 and was running the amp 0.88 Ohms(this because my coils measured 1.7Ohms). I did not look at cabin gain or box rise. But the amp itself i had was not getting warmer than 40 degrees Celsius.
