shanesauce Posted December 14, 2013 Report Share Posted December 14, 2013 I sketched up a transmission line for my 3-way floor speakers because the cabinet they are in now is seriously lacking in the bass department, the mid and high drivers are both sealed in the back so I shouldn't have to worry about interfering. Line is tuned to 40hz right around the same frequency as the current cabinet. I am about to go pick up the wood and some 90 degree clamps from lowes in a few hours and get started! I can't believe the increase in output that this simple box made, I would say the woofer is getting maybe 10-20rms? I plan on doing round over edges once I get a router and maybe do a wrinkle black finish or something like that, but it might be a week or two. It doesn't have to be beautiful because they are going in my man cave but I also want to showcase my work to prospective enclosure buyers. They sound so good!
