im45pl
so i got the back wall all done today, still need to put another layer of paint on the sides and roof area, also going to do another layer on the floor to cover the old holes up. hoping to by some steel angle to start the battery rack this week TEAM DC AUSTRALIA My_Build_Log
im45pl
so i finally got around to finishing the doors, they are drying now. also i am going to only use 10 batteries instead of 12, i could make the 12 fit but it would be a nightmare. i am also going to look into getting the leaves reset to handle the weight. thanks for looking TEAM DC AUSTRALIA My_Build_Log
oldsoundguy
Nice work. Yes getting the rear leaves redone will be a good idea. Lots of weight back there. Maybe just a helper spring but not sure if they make them for that truck. Doors would look good with a white accent somewhere to match the back. Just a thought. looks good. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

im45pl
yeah there was a small issue with that, the drivers door DID fit but after glass and bodyfill it didnt, it hit on the dash, guess it was tighter then i thought. so after sanding it got so thin i just chopped that area out. i then filled it with foam and have no added some duraglass over the top. if i feel it is still too weak ill add another layer of fibre glass on. any way some pics of the butchery oh and added another battery, this time a fullriver hc65 for the engine bay and also two more amps to help run the front stage. these will run the 8s in the roof and all the tweeters while the mosconis will be wired for the door mids only (one per door) they will go behind the seats. thanks for looking TEAM DC AUSTRALIA My_Build_Log
goodvibez
Comimg along man! Keep it up! Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! im45pl
so lately not a great deal has been done due to lack of motivation and being hungover the last few weekends, but here are some small updates changed the battery layout to this to fit 11 batteries in then have made a battery clamp using 5mm thick angle 10mm threaded rod and some chunky ass screws and adhesive, still needs painting just mocked up in this pic the bottom row will also be secured then i chopped my buzz bars up as i dont need them so long and made some basic battery terminals, got my hands on the allen key bolts today then got my pully changed from serpintine to v belt so i can mount that soon and have the 300 amp and 100 amp unit in there and last but not least i ordered a firestone ride right 2.2 tonne kit (helper bags for the rear). I must say motivation is higher then usual because now i can get the amps and batts in after the bags are installed and also work on the engine bay wiring, once thats done is just the cabin to go. so there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. cheers TEAM DC AUSTRALIA My_Build_Log
im45pl
well i got a bit carried away yesterday and decided to paint the car in bedliner. looks good in my opinion. still need to do the roof and tailgate, could't do them yesterday (long story) and the dry bonnet also got the alternator in properly and working, had to switch them around and make some spacers etc. looks a bit rough but works a treat and completely forgot i got the helper bags in the rear, massive differance cheers TEAM DC AUSTRALIA My_Build_Log
