I absolutely hate the Epicenters. bbeljefe Posted December 17, 2013 Report Share Posted December 17, 2013 The Epicenter was introduced when most everyone was building sealed boxes and when there was no bass in most music. It does boost the low frequencies clean but it is not needed with most music today (as has been mentioned) and if it isn't used properly, it will cause you to damage your gear. If you need better low end response from a subwoofer system, look at building an enclosure that is efficient at low frequencies. Because you cannot (again, as has been said) extract more from a loudspeaker than it is capable of producing. So yes, it can control three JL amps or ten brand X amps. I'm trying to figure out a way to mount it so you can see the bottom of it. so SEXY!
