mmotux Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 I need help... My left channel on my two channel amp is noteably quieter then the right... I have switched the speakers,,, Same problem. People told me to get a new head unit but heres the problem. I recently switched from a different set up. I had my sub amp run my highs just to see how well it did. Then I switched back to my old set up... It was fine before! And now idk why it's doing this. I had this problem before and idk how I fixed it. So I left it because I was afraid it would happen again. Switching my amps caused it to happen again. So waht may cause this? Blown channel? If the channel was blown would NO music play out of it? Maybe the speaker connections are dirty? Idk please help!
truthsayer Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Have you checked the speaker balance on the head unit? truthsayer
Smoove Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Could it be an imaging problem?? Souldrop Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Does the same side still play more quietly if you switch the rcas around? That would tell you if its the amp as opposed to the HU or RCAs 1997 Lexus ES300 HU - Pioneer MVH 7350 Processor - Helix DSP Front Stage - JBL P660C Mid/high amp - Alpine PDX-F4 Subs - 1 IA Death Penalty 12 Sub Amp - Cactus Sounds PF300.1
mmotux Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 It is not an imaging problem for sure. Could be bad RCAs or HU I will switch tomorrow
Dude2800 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 I would swap the inputs on the RCA's. I have an intermittently bad one.
