Impalalpine
So as some of you may know I melted the voice coils on my alpines. I tried and tried to figure out a way to use 15's again but 15's that can put up with the amp also need much more port area and airspace than the old subs needed. So I am moving down to 12's, soundqubed HDC3 12's to be more specific. Unfortunately after using the old box for less than a month, I am looking at building a new one, but that's alright I love the process. Here are the max dimension's figures: Height: 17 in Width: 39 in Depth: 24 in I am looking for low 30's tuning but I am open to ideas/suggestions. Lots of port area and two layer baffle if possible. Pictures of the woofers if you need a visual idea: Subs will see my Q1-3500 at 1 ohm Looking to spend a great deal of time with the building of this one, instead of painting or wrapping in carpet I am actually going to lay twilled carbon fiber from US compsites. Along with conventionally glassing the inside. Car is a chevy impala and I mostly listen to hip hop/rap Build's consist of: 2004 Chevy Impala : Pioneer--------------------- DEH-X8600bs Soundqubed/AQ------ Q4-120 Rockford Fosgate---- Punch-500.4 Soundqubed/AQ----- Q1-3500D.1 Alpine----------------- 6.5's & 6x9's Subs: TBA All Knukonceptz and SHCA wire and rca's Home Music Setup (4) Soundqubed HDS200 15's in two separate 15.5 cubic foot enclosures tuned to 31 hrz --- XM radio hardwire Updates coming all the time on both builds n8ball2013 "bullshit.
