Something like that. But going back to one of my first questions, if I had the perfect 200w 2-channel amp, how would I wire it to a svc 8 ohm sub? Sorry for repeating myself.

if you look at the instructions it will show you how to bridge the amp.. its usually the power from one channel and the ground from the other channel

the amp has to be bridgeable though

Nooooo I wouldn't put Kicker and boss in my car. I've got an AQ1200 on a DD 3512 in a PWK box. It's plenty for me!

I understand how to bridge an amp, but what about the final impedence? Don't the sub and overall load impedence have to match?

since you are sharing the load between 2 channels the amp will see 4 ohms even if the sub is 8 ohms

Next time your buddy wants you to hook things up to tell him to take you along or get your input before ever spending a penny, as buying first and then having hook something up that was never meant to go together is an eye opening experience for the first time car audio buyer.

Best bet is to take everything back for a refund and say it was a christmas present that isn't needed, and start over with better gear at the same price or just a tad over budget but will last a lot longer than a few weeks of bumping.

We all buy things thinking that it will do the job, only to find out it wasn't such a great purchase after all and usually take a hit for it one way or another.

If he is looking at a budget build a small reliable mono amp for subs and at least a 2 channel for the front doors or a nice 400-800watt 4 channel.

For a temp setup i'm running a t400.4 to my front speakers and i'm going to run the rear channels to a hx2 power 12 bridged at 2 ohms. just waiting on getting wood and a nail gun right now.
