It's pointless to have a motor that only supports 33mm one way and then put 50mm capable frame spiders and surround. It doesn't help a bit. It'll still bottom out at 33mm regardless. I haven't measured it but I would think the coil would be longer on the zv4 as well, which would make the gap between bottom plate a coil less. Xmech would be where you see the bottoming out. Xmax is at 70% of BL. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

But if you take a zv4 coil that's meant for a zv4 motor and stick it in a shorter moto that is capable of 10 mm less. It will bottom out way faster. Example. Hdc3 motor is like half the height of a zv4 motor. The motor is limiting the pros of the frame and soft parts. People are willing to degrade their subs performance to make it aesthetically appealing. I'd rather have a sub be ugly and loud.
