Borris The Blade Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 What kind of car? Sounds like your tripped the anti-theft. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.
dee242 Posted January 8, 2014 Author Report Posted January 8, 2014 What kind of car? Sounds like your tripped the anti-theft. thats what i was thinking its an 02 neon bought it used never got the key fob for the alarm so it doesnt work how do i remove it
KillaCam Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Disconnect the negative lead to the batter for about 20 mins to clear the check engine light and reset everything. While you're waiting pull the HU out and recheck your wires. Maybe post some pics of the wiring as well. That would help us see what's going on. And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth.. Borris The Blade Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Did you get a wire harness, or did you hard wire it in? Had the same problem with my bros car, but he tripped it himself by turning the key with the radio out. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.
dee242 Posted January 8, 2014 Author Report Posted January 8, 2014 i bought harness and i think i found the aftermarket alarms brain i fiddeled with it and the hazards went off if i dissconect it n yank it out of ther i wont have any negative effects would i
Borris The Blade Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 If your not sure what it is, I'd leave it. The anti-theft should be part of the factory HU and your harness should have came with a module that by-passes the anti-theft. Not too sure if thats the case for your car though. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.
jk13 Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Most aftermarket alarms can't shut off a car that is running. Starter interrupt yes, but shut down once running no. That sounds more like a factory immobilizer. I haven't done a radio in that body style for a long time but the immobilizer may run through the HU. If your car key has grey plastic you have an immobilizer. Is there a "security" light on the dash that comes on when the car shuts off? If your car key is black plastic or only metal it likely doesn't have an immobilizer system and you'll need to look elsewhere. Sorry man, just can't remember on that body style. Static drops are my bag.
