damn i lived 8 years in reno and have never gotten a ticket here(knock on wood). but i go to Sac for a weekend and i get 360 dollar ticket for having my music.

I have never gotten a ticket in my hometown since i know bout every cop round here and they dont care about systems thumpin. The cops told me that had bigger fish to fry instead of wasting their time pulllin someone over just to give them a noise violation ticket. I did get a ticket 2 years ago my buddy Pat and i had went down to Spartanburg SC to the Summer Nationals for MECA to compete and what not. Anyway the whole time we were there everything was fine no problems but as we were on the way home he was bumpin coming through richmond and i was bumping as well. Just to set the tone my buddy pat has 8 Mtx 5500 10's in a fiberglass slot port he built powered by a Mtx91002 series amp and i have the 9515 and the PG amp. So to say the least both of us bumping together was getting us noticed anyways we were on Broad Street and i hear this weird noise so i pause the music and there are 2 motorcycle cops behind us so i pull over and he comes up to my window and was like what took you so long to pull over and i said i neither heard nor saw you sir. you guys know how the rear view mirror works when you have a system LOL. He wrote me a ticket originally for $250 but when his curiosity struck he asked to see what i and my buddy had he dropped it down to a $100 violation so thats my account of a system violation

I have been driving with a system for 2 years now not one ticket, I did get pulled over once and I said it was the guy in front of me because everyone in there car was dancing because of my bass and he said that it made sense since they were dancing haha and he let me go.

and the letter with the report

have conducted a sound study at the closest residence east of the parking lot of Advanced Car Stereo, 13114 E. Whittier Blvd. Ambient noise samples were collected continuously from 1:21:00 pm through 1:57:09, with the exception of very short dB Drag car stereo tests at 1:37:30, 1:44:12, 1:49:15 and 1:56:37 pm. Each testexcept the last two last about two seconds. The last two tests lasted about 30 seconds each. A permenant sound meter on a tripod was in front of the residence and at the street corner. A hand held sound meter was at the cars. No car signal exceeded the ambient noise and at the residence was so faint as to be just barely audible if one was expecting it. A formal report will follow. I hate to say it, but if your white around here, the cop looks at you and laughs. (Its happened 3 times so far to me, 2ce to my one friend, and 2ce to my other friend)

Now, the only reason that I hate to say it is that I feel bad for all the black kids gettin pulled ova for sound violations
