Budget is 800-1000 For gaming. Don't really have goals just hoping it will be able to play most games I want at max/ high settings Been looking around feel free to drop in some deals out there or suggestions. To Agreene: Is the budget just for the tower or do you also need a mouse, keyboard, monitor, headset, speakers, etc? Will you need WiFi or will you be able to plug into your router directly? Do you want a small, portable rig or are you fine with a larger tower that will likely stay in one place? Do you care about having a windowed case that you can look inside? wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . Agreed, the i7 does have more level 3 cache and hyper threading but those two things are mainly reserved for those who do high end graphics, rendering, CAD and video/sound editing which can utilize those features. Most games these days including most newer ones only use 1 core of your processor anyway so buying an i7 has no real value when making a PC for gaming. I just ordered some new parts to rebuild my own PC, (reusing my ram, PSU and GTX660 video card). i5 4670k Processor MSI Z787M Motherboard Samsung 250gb Evo SSD Arctic Freezer Pro V2 CPU fan Corsair C70 Case The above items came to right at $700 before shipping.
