coh33dkill3r Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Not sure how to properly calculate... Trying to figure out what height my box needs to be to get 7 cu.ft using 3/4" mdf.. Can someone help me figure this out so I can build this box
Joe X Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 You calculate the rectangle box and then subtract the airspace that the slants take away, you can declare by adding to bracing displacement, sure you want to do that though? what vehicle?
Triticum Agricolam Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 To get 7 cu ft. it needs to be 20.75" tall, outside dimension, assuming a 3/4" top and bottom piece. coh33dkill3r Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 It's going in my nissan cube. Sundown x18. It's the only was I can have sub up port up without taking out my back seats. I could do 38Wx25Hx16D. That gives me 7.19 but I'd have to face sub back port up. Not too sure if it would be as loud that way. Not really wanting to have to build multiple boxes
coh33dkill3r Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 What's the advantages of sub up/port up vs sub back/port up???? Sub back would be about 4-5 inches from back hatch
zayres29 Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 calculate the area of the face and multiply by the depth... thats simple math learned in 4th grade Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
zayres29 Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 the loudest in hatches is sub up port back Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
coh33dkill3r Posted January 30, 2014 Author Report Posted January 30, 2014 Can't have port back because it be too close to my back hatch. I'm asking what's the difference would be sub back or sub up
