So yesterday on my way home from work i decided to bump a little at full tile(about 1-2songs) and every thing sounded good. Me and the wife went out to pick up some groceries and on the way back home i hit a small bump and heard a thud. I figured it was the fod moving. Parked my car for the night. Then this morning i get up and its cold (17 degrees and snowy) and start my car. When im driving to work i here a song come on that has ok bass to it and turned it up. Now normally when i listen to music daily i dont go pass half on my knob, any more then that is for demoing. Well it sounded good untill some real power got to my sub and it started sounding like it was farting. I turned everything down and switched songs just to make sure it was not that one, and it still sounded the same. When i got to work i checked real fast to see if there was any coil rub and i could not here any nore feel any. The cone snapped back in to place very nicely like it was new.

So with what little i was able to look at it now what alse should i check when i get home.

First thing im going to donis check the ohms of my coils then i may just have to take it out and go from there.

Sorry for the long post btw

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

My subs don't kick at all as soon as I start my vehicle up in the cold. (Been extremely cold up here in Minnesota) have to play a couple songs for it to warm up and sound good again. cold weather could cause this. My subs this morning sounded like sh** since it was so cold. But like other people said check connections. Make sure everything is good

i gernally been letting my woofer heat up for couple songs at low volume, but after few songs its full tilt, never had an issue with it sounded funny or anything. Its actually little louder for me in the morning with the higher voltage. This is with zero degree temp outside.
