Hertz_dont_it Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Unless you are currently using the cigarette lighter you honestly can't say for sure it has voltage. You could have blown the fuse to it or it could be bad. Why not just run it from your stereo? Current system:Front stage: Alpine type s 6.5No rear:Alpine type s 6.5headunit: alpineAmp: Jbl bp600.1 Sub: Alpine type x 12 dont know much about them. Found a "FLUX" Capacitor on ebay. If I add this to my system, can I really travel into the future? And how far into the future? That probably all depends on how I ground it though, right?Dude dont even waste your money on capacitors get a second car battery preferably a kinetik or stinger or any other car audio battery use the battery that is correct for your systems true rms wattage do some research on the net for this. Go to kinetiks website they explain how to pick a battery from thier site that fits your system.
jarrius Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 im running it from the cig lighter fuse. and yes i have checked voltage and it is receiving 12 volts. I just checked it again and i think my main fuse is blown. don't know how but i know i have 12v on my battery and when i take the fuse housing apart for my 4gague power wire and check voltage to ground with that i have 0. No i don't have a DMM on my right now but i will have one tomorrow at work when every one leaves lol. So now it looks like just a blown fuse. And i was able to check voltage with a Stinger Volt meter i had laying around. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole

Its only as accurate as the DMM that checked the voltage and then set the stinger gauge to THAT voltage. That gauge is a POS.. so thats fail # 1.... I think the best thing to do at this point is take a few detailed pics of your wiring (which is more then likely a messy bunch of misc wires ran all over the place) and maybe we can help you find your current issue before you purchase a new amp and have the possible chance of the same issue again.... that would be fail #2.. I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
jarrius Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 It may be a pos but it is enough to see if I have voltage with out having a real dmm. Now my wiring is a mess right now I know this I'm in the process of re-wiring it. Now as I said I will have a non disputable answer tomorrow after work when I can use a dmm. So I know how I have been testing with a stinger volt meter but it's all I have and can at least tell me if I have voltage or not. So I will update tomorrow.

Aj11 Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 i really think the internals of the amp are broke or fried. like the power and ground are touching on the inside. either way get it out! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
