Twodiamonds Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Would subs up port back work well in a sedan with the rear seats down completely? Box builder couldn't fit the port back and subs back so it had to go subs up port back... Should I have any concerns 2 p3 12s T1500

OrionStang Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Either way is probably gonna be bad. Use deadener on the trunk lid and tighten the trunk latch. You can also try to add weather stripping to the stuff already there, to help the trunk close tighter. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
IzZy2Loud4U Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 i did 144.6 db with 2 12 dd 2500s with 4 4" ports subs up port back @ 35hz, when i tuned it to 40hz it got louder. just keep the box low as possible, for me the farther back the better. built another box same style but taller wider and shorter, and it wasnt as loud in the car but shit in my truck, never got to meter it tho. like the previous post, weather stripping, deadener, and tighting up your latch will be your friend.
Nealon14 Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 hey i have the same problem i couldnt fit 2 12's and 2 4" ports on the same face on the box because my trunk was not wide enough. When your box is all done post back please and let me know how it works out. i have it a little worst though because i cant even fold my seats down lol i would have to rip out the back seats.

Subs firing forward / backwards ports firing sideways (usually driver's side) has worked well before, I would try that before subs up any day.
