Will a gates belt be fine? green gates belts are the best to use. i dont know exactly if too small a gauge of wiring will cause your issues, but you have to do the big 3 in 0 gauge nonetheless.

Suspect this may be why it burnt up. yeah...thats exactly the problem. any alt you can find on ebay that is like $1 an amp, is absolutely terrible. only folks most people would suggest here are dc power and mechman. its more expensive, but you're paying for r&d and custom materials and parts for something that WONT fucking catch fire lol.
