mmotux Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Hi I have a dodge ram 1500 ex cab and I have my subwoofer box on my seat. Two JL 12's. I would like to know what direction I should face the box for maximum spl. I have tried all ways but would like to know what other people think. When I face them backwars the rear seat maybe kinda absorbs the bass? Forward I kinda get a weird sound from the subwoofers. I'm not sure so please let me know. Thanks!

Joe X Posted February 1, 2014 Report Posted February 1, 2014 Subs front or up are most common, port up or side firing are also common. other than that your box has to be the right size tuning port area, etc, aimings are not going to do all the job alone.
