Getting really excited to hear this new enclosure. I really hope there is a noticeable improvement. We will see. Sorry for the terrible pictures. I didn't realize they were this low quality. I've got an xterra but am hoping to get a Titan (maybe a new diesel one). If you're stock rf system is anything like the ones in the xterras, none of the speakers are even rf. They are all clarion haha

They are all clarion haha Thanks man. I am still a beginner when it comes to woodworking. I just learned a lot of do's and don'ts with my last enclosure. The factory fosgate system nissan uses is a joke. IIRC the receiver is Panasonic, the sub is actually Rockford foster (????) and as you mentioned the speakers are clarion. I have no idea how they came up with that concoction and had the balls to stamp fosgate on it. The receiver actually puts out a pretty clean sound if you ask me. It's the factory amp that ruins it. If I were you and you can hold out I would definitely wait for the diesel titan. That is what I plan to do. Let them work the bugs out for the first couple years and then snag one up.

Im pretty sure no company even wanted to stamp their name on it, I just actually sold mine, and pulled one out of a friends X last night when we did his build (2pm to 7am full install ha) Idk, I mean so many cars stock audio is better (girlfriends 08 camry for example is louder and really clean) Yeah I have atleast a year or 2 between now and then, have one semester of my bachelors left, an internship and then 2 semesters of masters. I really want to see some X8s in this thing though. Ill be running some PSI8s when I finish glassing.

I was shocked at how light this fiberglass box im doing came out. How do you plan on finishing it? Also just and idea for future builds, you could probably use the space that you blocked off in that box behind the port for an amp rack, or for a smaller extra battery.

I actually thought about the amp rack idea but.mine wouldn't fit. Didn't think of an extra battery. That is a really good idea. I'm sure I will get bored with my set up and change it again lol. I will make the proper adjustments when the time comes,
