I don't have anywhere near the caliber stuff a lot of members have, but hey I got to start somewhere. I plan to upgrade to the sundown x8's or ct sounds meso 8's whenever they are released. When more info is available I will make my decision. Was thinking about doing 2 10's, but am veering away from them due to the mounting depth and size of the motor. I don't want to lose my rear seat so I am doing everything I can to prevent that. I am going to do the big 3 with 1/0 gauge OFC, upgrade my amp wiring to 1/0 gauge OFC and get an agm battery for starters so I can run my amp at 1 ohm and not have any problems. Will be doing that very soon. I barely have the amp turned up until I get a dd-1/cc-1 and proper sized wiring. I don't feel comfortable doing so until I have the upgraded wiring and proper tools for tuning. Just wanted to get it installed to make sure it worked properly. I checked and am getting 12.4 volts not running and 14.37 volts when running (this is at the amp). The clarity of this amp compared to the stock oem rf amp isn't even comparable, so much better SQ. Night and day difference. Curious to see what I get with the big 3, agm and the amp running full tilt. Anyways on to the gear and pics. List of current gear (pretty small. lol). Stock RF head unit with custom adapter harness. Stock alternator (130A) Duralast Gold 27F Battery 1 Sundown E10V2 in a 1 cu. ft enclosure tuned to 35Hz Precision Power Black Ice BK1800.1D (running at 2 ohms and barely turned up until I get a dd-1/cc-1 and 1/0 wiring) 4 gauge wiring with 2 50 amp fuses (1 at battery and 1 at amp) Favorite pic of the truck when moving from Arizona to Alaska: Adapter harness: Enclosure: Amp: Amp Rack (wiring will be cleaned up when I install the 1/0):

osiris10012 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 Thanks guys. Right now my future plans are to upgrade all wiring and the battery. Then do 2 8's forward firing with the port exiting towards the rear passenger side door. After that it will be on to the mids and highs. Right now the factory mids and highs are actual pretty good. Rockford did a good job on those, but failed miserably with the lows in the premium sound system my truck came with. Not sure what direction I will head with that. Also plan on installing sound deadener in the entire cab. This is all I have so far. Better than none, but definitely not ideal. Only had 2 sheets.

I am very happy with the outcome. Especially considering it was the first enclosure I built by myself. After building it I learned a lot of things that I will use to build my next one. The move was do to military orders. Trust me I would have loved to stay in AZ. The box dimensions are 6.75"H x 12"D x 57"W and the tranny tunnel is 19"W. I also did a mini seat lift. Basically replaced the factory seat stops with a larger one. Very simple and effective. If you would like I can take a quick picture of that too.
