DireRaptor22 Posted February 3, 2014 Author Report Posted February 3, 2014 I plan on getting a 200 amp alternator built from excessive amperage. Then do the Big 3 and grab that 0 gauge kit I was mentioning earlier: http://www.execution-audio.com/product/execution-audio-0-gauge-amplifier-wiring-kit/ I can probably power up to 2500W with that setup eh? Toss my little Hifonics amp as it doesn't put out so much power Start running 0 gauge like the big boys and toss my 4 gauge altogether. “The fascination of flight can't be expressed with words. I can't speak from experience but I would suggest saving up and getting one from Mechman, DC power, or SInger Dorm room setup: SQ SDC2.5 12" @ 8 ohms Klipsch 300 watt home theater sub amp Marantz 1030 amplifier Future car build: Audio Technix 1200.1d Fi SSD 12 w/ cooling and flatwind coil 6th order dual reflex enclosure

DireRaptor22 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Report Posted February 4, 2014 Whatever you do... no powermax usa I'm getting quotes from DC and Mechman seeing which one is a better deal. In the meantime, I'm gonna snatch that 0 gauge kit “The fascination of flight can't be expressed with words. But it really lies beyond the capabilities of human endeavor. WastedTalent Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 I promise you, DC and mech both will cost more. But, only upfront. If you get either, once installed and with no issues (might have to get a different size pulley or belt, possibly external regulator)... you're done. With companies like EA, you may think you're done after you take care of all the issues (pulley/belt/regulator)... but here in a few months or year or something, here comes a problem and costs you money. On this forum, we might be a bunch of assholes but we're honest assholes. Just look up EA, Mech, DC. Look at the things people say. We'll bash you if you claim stuff that isn't true and give you props and all when you undersell yourself. I know personally, once I get tax money and things settle down a bit, I'm calling Kyle at DC (Sorry rest of the DC fellas, but Kyle only for meh) and getting that taken care of. Sheena = pedobear
Eroc3k Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 Spend the extra money you wont regret it! to be honest I would spend a good portion of your budget towards electrical. Not to mention if you spent the money on a HO alt then you might as well spend a few bucks more and get the right wire. SHCA has great prices. CJ18 could help you out with that.
SQL50 Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 For the most part, no.. But if it isn't true to gauge, lower strand count, and if it isn't ofc, and its cca, with all three of these combined together.. Then yes, you will notice power loss.. Rockford Fosgate makes awesome wiring, you could get you a 1/0 gauge fairly cheap off ebay.. You can take this to the bank, you'd have zero problems with this wiring..
