HHR Ed
It's spelled "Alternator" And before you say that spelling is not important, go look at all the fail pics of misspelled tattoos. I think I am going to edit your title. It irks me every time I see it. Added another "o" to your "to." So instead of the title "Altanator charging way to high" I corrected it to "Alternator charging way too high" Ed Lester ShowtimeSPL Host Showtime Electronics Video MarketingMy old Build Loghttp://www.stevemead...08/#entry511451http://www.youtube.com/showtimespl 5 time dB Drag Finalist Last ride 2007 HHR, current dB 153.5 and bass race 149.4 dB. 153.0 dB on music New Ride, 2008 HHR SS. Pauly1987
I was joking about the above statement by the way... .... Mike emailed me back saying that the senses wire on the alty should be disconnected and if that doesn't help then to plug the senses wire strait into the 12v post itself! Miguels
I still think your belt is slipping.. my alternator would charge at 14.8 all the time so i thought it wasnt slipping.. once there was a load or you accelerate it slips and spikes.. you wont always see low voltage as the alternator is still charging my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
Pauly1987
Hey miGuels how are you checking for belt slip? I looked under the hood today and didn't see any powder or any type of black sut on the pully or alty itself? Is there another way? I also don't here any type of squeal when starting or running the engine
