The fact is the majority of people clamping are not doing it properly and trying to pass their findings as accurate. Notice how I said accurate and not correct. There is no correct reading on any given amp as all amps are built with electronics that function to a given tolerance. Thus 10 out of 10 amps within a given model will all give different measures. case in point, Any RF Punch amp from the early 90's (or even today). Pick up 10 birth sheets from the same model and you have 10 different numbers. None of them are correct or incorrect, they are all accurate readings of what that amp can do. In addition, there was no AD-1 in 199X, does that nullify the readings on those birth sheets some of us live to gloat about? of course not. Simply put the term "CLAMPING" has been associated improper procedure and thus now has a negative connotation associated with it and then there are those who are just ignorant to those procedures and continue to follow the half asses methods that flood you tube and message forums such as this. The truth is out there, people just have to sift through the trash to get to it. If doing things right was easy no one would do them wrong! Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
ROLEXrifleman Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 Final stages, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! cleared board of resistors peeled off protective film and started laying down grommets after 8 grommets were laid down I pulled the wires through and peeled back stripped ends to get ready for connection to resistors just needs a little windex! connected to resistors via screws nuts and washers. was there an easier way, sure but this was for love not convenience. Lay it down and attached with two screws two nuts and two washers now I just have to repeat this 7 more times!!!! Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
