CleanSierra
I didn't watch the vid either. I'm only here to see what the purpose of chrisw posting in this thread is. Calling all that posted "hacks" after the thread is long dead, I can't see the point. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. CleanSierra
Chrisw has a 2150, Dwiz tested a 2300. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.... Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra
The 2300 is rated at 600W bridged at 4 ohms and 12.5V. BigD's test had nearly a full volt higher and was at 843W. I won't pay attention to the non certified runs. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
chrisw.
You go ahaead and ignore it all you want while I run mine at 2 ohm to the tune of 1800w and my 2150 800-900w. My voltage never drops below 13.9v Still Living in the 90's MTX Thunder 2300x MTX Thunder 2150x MTX Thunder 275x MTX Thunder 1500dx <---still searching

Krakin
Ok guys you've swayed me lol I'm just going to look for another amp My protects all the time when I push it Your guess is wrong. It's a 2150x (see sig) and if you read the original post you'd see that we clamp tested it so I know exactly how much power it's pushing. It did 518w @4ohms and 983w @2ohms 13.9 volts. I'm not disagreeing with you that it may blow running it at 2ohms so no need for I told you so's or for that attitude. All I said is it thermal protects all the time when pushed hard @ 4ohms and it's not thermal protecting @2ohm cause I'm not pushing it hard .... All first page, i don't know how it got to 6. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. chrisw.
What's your point? He said they don't protect, mine protects as designed when it gets dangerously hot. Last time it protected was after 2 1/2 hours of play at full tilt @ 2 ohms. And needles to say I didn't get another amp. Still running tbis one at 2ohms mono and still stand behind my test result now more than ever. And believe me I don't expect any of the nay Sayers to turn around on this. It's the ones who are reading and not posting and pm'ing me that stand to benifit from this whole thing Still Living in the 90's MTX Thunder 2300x MTX Thunder 2150x MTX Thunder 275x MTX Thunder 1500dx <---still searching
