Marquisboys Posted February 13, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 13, 2014 Alright lets see, i have the mayhem 18" in about a 8.5cu box after disp tuned to around 35hz 36hz..that box was for my AQhdc3 that is blown. powered by a crescendo 3500d. I have 2 6.5 soundqubed pros in the front and the super tweeters by soundqubed. I have a pair of image dynamics 6x9 in the back. 6.5's and 6x9 powered by the soundqubed 125.4 amp. The supertweets are on a mb quart 80.4 amp. Got 1/0 going to the sub amp and 4 gauge going to the speaker amps. have a 250 amp alt and the XS power battery in the front D3100 and going to get another one in the trunk. Sub amp gain is set correctly lol trust me on that and the subsonic is at about 30hz and the lp is at 80hz. I also have 8 gauge wire from the sub to the amp. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. Marquisboys Posted February 14, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 14, 2014 Well my box right now is in the trunk ive taken out my back seat and cut metal for airflow. its a huge trunk its in an 04 grand marquis. So i have the sub up and port up. height of the port would be 25" and the depth of the box is around 21" and the port width is 4.5". i have tried sub and ports towards the rear of my car and ppl say the sound waves for lows will be better, that isnt true with my car cause if you look in the trunk there is a ledge in it that would block the waves from going in the car completely. Ripped all the equipment out, now the mayhem is sitting in the shed.
