Rudemaxxx Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 Hey guys, I am rather new to car audio but I have a general and some deeper understanding of it, but I haven't been able to try a lot of things on my own because of my limited knowledge. So, I'd like to ask this question before I give it a try and see what people think is the best way to go. I have 2 sundown SA-12's with a Memphis PRX1.1000 amp (pussy shit ik) and a pretty good sized box. I have a 2008 Jeep grand cherokee with the trunk open to the cabin. I just upgraded my to a much bigger, dual ported, enclosure that moves a lot of air for two SA-12's. I was just curious if I should keep them in my trunk as rear facing or if i should fold down my seats and move my subs to be forward facing. And just for the record I don't have any external batteries or anything like that. Any input is helpful! Dude2800 Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 I built a box to be up facing and didn't like it. Fired it back and it was tons louder (to the ear). I have never tried forward facing.
Rudemaxxx Posted February 16, 2014 Author Report Posted February 16, 2014 Yeah I'm gonna leave mine firing back for now, until I can wall off my trunk of course Welcome to my sig My build on my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4: 2 Sundown SA 12's Sundown SAZ 1500d v3 Alpine CDE-HD148BT Hertz 165 Speakers Atrend Carbon Enclosure Stinger SPP925 Battery Sky High 2/0 & 1/0 Power Wire & Big 3 Legal 145.2 dB.
