SnowDrifter
Pop test it yet?Unhook the wires from your amp. Negative to the negative on your car battery, then briefly strike the positive against the positive of your car battery. Both subs should move in the same direction ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Exscathe
Have not done a pop test before, interesting though, I'll check it out. And I have had the subs playing a 25Hz test tone before and it slammed. Both subs were working the same, and the reason we were doing 25 Hz was because the LPRC filter we had on the RCA was set around 30 Hz so I only really got decent output around there. Anyways there is the pictures I have.

Exscathe
Not on the setup in my car, it was for a input from a reciever to a different amp and it was not a consumer LP filter, it was a resistor and a capacitor wired into the RCA in a way that acted as a low pass filter, look up passive RC low pass filters. Joe X
The subs individually tested act the same? Also if you are using a test tone you don't need any filtering.
Exscathe
The subs when I had them playing individually were perfect yes, also I realize that I dont need a filter for a test tone, that is common sense, the LPRC filter was inline with the RCA's as in it was soldered into the RCA's, and I was playing the 25 Hz test tone because the filter was set to 30 Hz so I only got the really low end of anything, so to test out the drivers, 25 Hz test tone. Kranny
in-line rca filters aren't the greatest thing. how come you cant use the subsonic and lpf on the amp itself? thats the best way to do it, passively.
SnowDrifter
I doubt it would change anything. But take it out and see what happens ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Exscathe
The amp i was using in the house did not have a subsonic or a LPF, and no pics of the subs in the car yet, working on that still, also I just did a pop test with a AAA battery (1.5Volts) and the polarity on the driver is correct, so no wrongly placed terminals.
