walwalka
I'm wokring on figuring out a box for my new 12's and I'm struggling. I have some done up and torres, I just would like to know the thoughts on this one. First, I have max demension of 34w x 16t x 23d. These are what fit reasonably in my trunk. I'm really curious how the port are and the port area per foot stack up. I want an overall good sound and output, I wouldn't be against tuning a little high to 34hz if need be. Seymore
In my opinion, the port area per foot's a bit tiny, especially for those air-hogging subs. Everything's perfect in my book besides that, box might be a touch too big though. Have you considered two side ports? 2001 Civic LX SedanPioneer DEH-7500HD Big 3 in 1/0 Knu CCARockford P500-4RF Punch P165-S in doorsRF Punch P165 in rear deckFront doors deadened with DamplifierNextSQ's new HDS208 8" in a T-line whenever it FINALLY COMES OUT I CAN FINALLY AFFORD IT Bend over and I'll show ya. how is it 2 days work? half a day at most, i may be an idiot, but im not an idiot. agf144
subs take up a little under .3 ft^3 for a pair if i remember right. make port 4.75-5" wide run subs inverted and add 2nd baffle use wood dowels as bracing. takes up very little space too. that should give u the sound u want Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth.. oh.. wait.. naw.. that wasnt weird.. He probably tearin dat ass up every night. walwalka
Sq said that the woofers were .08^3 each for displacement, so I made the displacement a little big. There is no possible way to run inverted, they are going in a trunk and that is the space I have to work within. Here is another version that changed somethings in. I plan to add another baffle, however I don't want torres to calculate into the external dimensions. I'm going to use some 1 in dowel to brace up the box as well, I added some displacement for that in. What do you guys think now? 2010 Honda Civic LX / Deck: Kenwood DDX371 / Front Highs: Crescendo RTS-1 / Front Mids: Silver Flute 6.5's / 4 channel: DC Audio 90.4 / Sub: Fi 15in SP4v2 / Sub amp: Taramps HD 5000 / Power wire: Knukonceptz OFC 1/0 / Deadener: Audio Technix 60 mil / Batteries: XS Power D5100R / Rear bank: TBD / Alternator: Singer 240a hairpin

Joe X
Sq said that the woofers were .08^3 each for displacement, so I made the displacement a little big. 0.08 cubic feet? I don't think so.

I don't think so. That is what the email I got back from them said, but if it is wrong I will take your word for because I really have no idea. I tried googling but of course I didn't find much. I will listen to joe x he designed my current box and I love it. Updated with more woofer displacement. 2010 Honda Civic LX / Deck: Kenwood DDX371 / Front Highs: Crescendo RTS-1 / Front Mids: Silver Flute 6.5's / 4 channel: DC Audio 90.4 / Sub: Fi 15in SP4v2 / Sub amp: Taramps HD 5000 / Power wire: Knukonceptz OFC 1/0 / Deadener: Audio Technix 60 mil / Batteries: XS Power D5100R / Rear bank: TBD / Alternator: Singer 240a hairpin
agf144
Run subs inverted and you will have enough space. 4 cubes is a bit small for them.
