So I finally got my system hooked up and I am running in to some problems. When I turn up the amp gain up I get a noise signal I change the rca and I still have the same problem. I also had the amp and negative battery ground run together so I run them separate and I still have the same problem, I need some help trouble shooting the problem.

Is the noise a "hissing" sound? How is the gain tuned.. like what tuning method did you use?

Does it change when you rev the car?

Does it do it when the car's off?

Does it sound like "white noise"?

Does it still do it if your RCAs are unplugged?

yes it does sound like white noise when I put it on mute. when I turn the gain up it makes high pitch noise.

It does not make any noise when the rca are unplugged it stops

Yes it does make the noise when the car is off

I haven't rev the car when the noise comes on I shut the car off.

I changed rca and I still have the problem

Well I found the problem one of the Pwx 6.5 speakers terminals got grounded to the door causing the amp to make noise and stay in protect.
