Consider using expanding foam in gaps? I did it in the hatch door of my other focus and it made a good difference as far as vibrations him flex go.

If the goal is to reduce flex start with adding some where you have lots if flex them looking for more rattles it flex to fix. Once you think you have most of that taking care of work on using the foam passing stuff to block airborne Boise. Do it all in steps to get the result you want.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

just remember that expanding foam by itself doesn't actually do anything to filter or block noise its only useful as a physical barrier preventing something from moving... it can be very effective in certain situations

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

IMO using expanding foam in areas like the trunk loud (added weight/mass) and to the roof support braces/beams can effectively stop rattles/flex with the use of less deadener.

Yea I used foam in my first trunk and it worked like crazy.. this trunk rather flat though with not many if any deep holes. More like a flat piece of flimsy metal. When you tap on iy with your hand you can hear just how flimsy it is.

So there isnt really anything to fill with foam on the trunk lid. And i would like to avoid foam in the cabin asap.

Setup:

2010 Hyundai Elantra

Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC

Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt

Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000

Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of -

DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s

right in certain situations it provides a physical barrier preventing one piece of metal hitting the other reducing that metal on metal noise but otherwise is a pretty poor vibration dampener.

Yeah my hatch door on my last car had a huge open area between the inner and outer metal filling that area helped a lot but I think most of that was sure to all the added weight.
