If not he can get save up a bit more and get two soundqubed 12s hds200 and get the matching amp q1-1200D

Intresting, but its still a bit over budget. Any alternatives?

for the budget I'm not sure he just needs to get a bit more and get something decent. Maybe selling old equipment

Could look at sonic's house brand NVX. At least they're putting there amps up against the ad-1.

Audiopoop, lol. no. Why don't you just get a boss system at that rate.

EDIT: If he just saved up a little bit more

Look at my profile pic.....WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.

Haha, Not doing rated power? What was the problem? I knew they didn't really do rated power but for the subs we were looking at we only needed about 800 watts and the AC3000.1d was rated at 2100 watts at 1 ohm so i figured that it would at least be able to handle 800 watts vs the 2100 claimed.

I have an ac3000.1 in my car right now. It is hooked up to two alpine type R's ( 500watt rms) bridge at one ohm. I pound on it every day and the subs don't get hot or smell they should of ripped a long time ago. The only thing I like about that amp is on a five hour ride it didnt get hot not even warm. Don't buy it
