You could do the following for those subs, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, port clearance 5", figure is just an assembly guide, bracing is 1 1/4" wooden dowel rod, standard 3/4" MDF for the port brace:

So I am open to different subs . And yes running between 0.9 and 1 ohm . My price range is questionable. I have looked at a lot of the subs available and I am not impressed with the engineering of the components I.E. foam surrounds don't last in Texas weather (DC Audio . SoundQubed. Sundown) All foam surrounds and I Have never used a sub with copper coils .

ill say it like i always say it. F##K the DD-1. I don't care if you or anyone buys one. (well i do, but that isn't my point) Get an O-scope in the very minimum and learn how to use it or you are just guessing your settings like every other noob. :) once you master the O-scope then step up to a DD-1 or even better a DD-1 Plus.

You're welcome, it will improve over your current box some but the best advice is upgrading subs - definitely - You may use 4 Sundown SA-15s on the box above without any modifications and it would be a compelling upgrade. If you have any questions let me know.

I never said tearing , my issue would be deterioration over time . I dont have desposable money, so to buy subs, just to test them is out of.the question in my case. although i would LOVE to try (Sundown, SoundQubed, and DC Audio) Amongst others . This is just My opinon because all the subs i have used in the last 15 years all had rubber surround... (BTW Please DO NOT trun this into a V.s. ) but im all ears on personal opinions and experances
