There's a dude trying to sell some kind of crappy $450 "competition"

amp,it's a 'Quinton audio 3000'. He states it can go down to 1ohm putting out 3000watts RMS.

But now the funny part,it has two 60Amp fuses built in(to me real amps don't come with built in fuses)

To me, these two 60amp fuses would realistically put the amp in the 1200watt zone..

am i correct on that?

Amps x volts = watts

Can't make more than you consume.

So with 2 60 amp fuses even at 14.4 then the max wattage out is 1728 watts

Do the math based on real input voltage and even then that number doesn't mean anything unless the amp internally is capable of transforming the input power into output efficiently

Rolex you sicken me.

Nope, still has to consume the power to make it.

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..."

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

its being fed 14.4 volts on that test and it was a dynamic burst test. As fuses are thermally activated it is possible to draw some current in excess of rated for a very short time and not pop
