can't take original wires out

So when I did the big three my original power wire runs almost right through the engine. I was going to leave it till I put on the new alt. Let the guys at the shop take out the wire. Is it okay that I'm running two wires off my battery to my alt?

I did my big three in four gauge for now cause I had a bunch of it lying around.

yes, having OEM wires still there with an additional BIG3 doesnt cause any problems with charging, and would not for the rest of its existence. As long as the OEM and new added wires arent anywhere they would melt, you are fine. Having multiple power wires off of a alternator charging bolt is fine.

I did the big 3 4yrs ago, i still have all my OEM wiring.... power is going to take the path of least resistance, so having extra wires on there wont hurt anything.

THIS! Besides.. depending on your cars wiring and circuits, you may need the stock wiring to go to the battery. In many cars, the starter's wiring goes through that.
