Koffinupalung Posted March 22, 2014 Author Report Posted March 22, 2014 Don't know what you are doing but for those subs I would do a 6"x6" port 29" long if net volume was 2.75 to tune to 32 Hz. You should know how to determine net volume though.
Koffinupalung Posted March 22, 2014 Author Report Posted March 22, 2014 Or would 2 3"x6" ports 14.75" long work?
Triticum Agricolam Posted March 23, 2014 Report Posted March 23, 2014 Or would 2 3"x6" ports 14.75" long work? You could do two 3" x 6" but they would still have to be roughly 29" long. Port area really isn't somewhere you want to short yourself on. If you port isn't big enough you will get nasty port noise and significantly less output. Joe X Posted March 23, 2014 Report Posted March 23, 2014 You can make this port turn, it doesn't need to be straight so you can find a way to fit it, or you can use two 4" flared round ports 21" long as an absolute minimum, it will probably cost you some efficiency at higher output though, round ports can turn through fittings.
CleanSierra Posted March 23, 2014 Report Posted March 23, 2014 For dimensions of what your box can be. Don't complicate things by trying to fiberglass the spare tire well. Make a rectangular box and be done with it man. You have the room to do a perfectly rectangular box, subs up, port back. 41.5" wide, by how tall, by how deep, while leaving around 4" so the pretty can breathe before an obstacle like the rear hatch. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
