Justin Eaton Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 Is anyone using a dual chamber dual ported box? Pros? Cons?

Justin Eaton Posted March 30, 2014 Author Report Posted March 30, 2014 No, two separate chambers two subs(9515 dds) and a slot port for each chamber
gr8handogoatness Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 So basically two boxes built together? Yeah they are fairly popular. They work well.
gr8handogoatness Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 The problem is the box is bigger. Each port has to be longer than with a common chamber. More wood is used.

They are DDs, they will probably sound good. Also placement is something to think about. If at first you feel like its lacking, change the position of the box. Sometimes the difference is amazing.
john253a Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 The only other down side is port efficiency It is way down So you have 2 ports 15h x 3.5w x 26.75 @37hz That's the same as a single port 15 x 7 x 22.5 @37hz Differance is port efficiency The first has 74" x length of 26.75" =1,926 Where as the second common chamber Has 44" x 22.5"= 990 So the efficiency of the port is a huge differance
