mtxcivic07 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Share Posted November 22, 2006 My MTX 7801 Amplifier is rated at 400 watts @ 4 ohms 800 watts @ 2 ohms 1200 watts @ 1 ohm. This amp is dramatically underrated... just check it out for yourself. in addition to this i Know that kicker underrates their amps as well... what other companies seem to always underrate their amps?? :^ 18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #... ChevyBoy Posted November 22, 2006 Report Share Posted November 22, 2006 i kno i had a kicker that was rated at 350 and put out i think 378. my mtx 801d was said to push 500@2 ohms on 12.5 and put out 597. question though. since thats a 20% increase, u think at 14.4 instead of it pushin 800, its pushing around 960? MTX amps are massively underrated. if you give plenty of voltage there is a great chance of a huge wattage increase 18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #...
