Amp not turning on but the amp works in other vehicles

Im trying to hook my moms system back up in her 2005 chevy extended cab. Im having a problem because I hook everything up properly except the amp doesn't turn on. I know that the amp works because Ive used it in my truck before. I have the remote wire going to a ignition fuse under hood because she has a stock radio (ive had it hooked that way for 2 years and it worked) but now I think its not getting power. I cant tell if the wire is bad or if the fuse is bad that im connecting it to. I know that Its a very old wiring kit that she had in her truck and I just used it instead of getting a new one.

I just want to see what everyone thinks is the problem because I can change or fix anything that I need.

You could always replace the fuse and check the ground and maybe wire the remote to a different fuse?

Or even a test light

Try jumping the poet to remote to see if it powers on. That should point you in the right direction.

Get a test multimeter and start checking your wiring.
