bumpinTL364
Found this soldered to the rear tweeters in my girl's car. The fronts have different looking capacitors on them as well. Is this just a capacitor or is it an effective replacement for the crossover? Stephen13
For an 8Ω load that 3.3uf capacitor should give you a 6dB/octace hi-pass filter @ 6kHz. 2011 Chevy Silverado LT 5.3L 4x4 Ext.-cab "Enjoy yourself. bumpinTL364
sweet, so it sounds like I'll need to take these out and replace them with the crossover that came with my components. Last question here: there's already 2 separate sets of wires, 1 for the tweeter and one for the mid-woofer. My crossovers only have one set of inputs and then outputs for each the tweeter and mid-woofer. Should I just combine the existing 2 sets of wires running them into the crossover to make things work correctly? gr8handogoatness
You running off an amp? What size are the wires? I personally like to run new wires and leave the factory stuff just out of the way. Easier to put back if you ever need to and you know exactly what us happening. bumpinTL364
Running off the factory amy, wire's I'd say are around 14-12 gauge, seems like they'd fit just fine masterbation is free, and even saves you money.sorry but someone had to say itsorry, Jimmy...beat you to it (no pun intended) LOLDON'T get a wife.
