Derrick824 Posted March 17, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 17, 2008 The only reason evan was in the 139.9 class is because he was moved down because were were no competitors in the 149.9 class Evan also didn't even burp a 149.9 so I don't know why he thought he would do well in that class. There simply aren't many people in the area in the high 40s or low 50s to make the 49 class competetive. It's the most fun part of the show imo, although it's so so hard when they lump everyone in the 29.9 class. But thats just my opinion. yea but getting your ass handed to you by a west sider rider. and the judge going OHHHHHHHHHHHHH! he lost and the crowd going along with it. makes it more interesting. doug is a great judge one of the better ones most of the time. especially when he told me he dosent think any other states have as strong a bass race team as we do on the west side. B Slaps Posted March 17, 2008 Report Share Posted March 17, 2008 bass race is alot about control and a gamble on your stereo and how it ill perform. just like braket racing...in heads up drag racing, the faster car wins that is why there are differernt clases(burping) in braket racing you dial in a a ceatain time and you are not aloud to break that time. (bace race) if your car dials in a 12 sec et if you go a little fastrer next run... yopu lose if you are in the 149.9 bracket at bass racre and you hit a 150.5 guess what , you lose you may be fast but no trophy for you. late starts baterry voltage and song sellection are all factors. but as for the start of the debate, the west coast judge is alot moere animated wich draws attention which draws in the next potential compettitor who might want to be involved in a competition that doent require 5000 wattts and a wall of speakers. 2007 world finale champian was a first year compettitor that kicked ass with a pair of 12"s and small power. the point is we need to expand and bass race is an avenue that could help x2 couldnt have said it better myself I Rock 4 Doors 4 More Whores! On average we only have 3 competitors at each show and we all get grouped into a single lower class. wow that sucks balls. yea were all about bass race here. db drag is dying down hella cause of rule changes. more competitors more points for the spl max shows. sometimes there will be 10 - 15 people in the 129 and 139 class during the spl max shows. it gets competitive.
