The 2500BdCP has a 24dB/octave (3rd order butterworth) low-pass filter and a 12dB/octave (2nd order Butterworth) infrasonic filter.

This is from the spec sheet online.

What you SHOULD do, is based on your build....

Start somewhere... Like 80LP and 12 slope..

Then fuck with it..

there is not a single person here, that can tell you what is the clear cut bro?!?!

You don't have an option, that's just what they are.

They do different things, as well.

The Low-Pass will block off everything above the frequency you set it at.

The infrasonic will block the frequencies below what it is set at.

A typical way of setting the infrasonic is to set it 1/2 an octave below the tuning of the enclosure.

One octave up is exactly twice the frequency being look at.

Ex: 1 up from 40 Hz is 80 Hz.

1 down from 40 Hz is 20 Hz.

1/2 down from 40H Hz would be 30 Hz.

A common place to set the Low pass is 70-100 Hz. Much over 80 Hz starts to throw staging off.

So if I turn the infrasonic on it makes it 24?

Don't worry about the order of the crossover (slope)

You have no way of affecting this other than buying another amplifier.

What you can do is set the Low pass filter.

Set this at 80 Hz and then mess around with it slowly to see what you like.

I don't have experience with your amp, but from the looks of it all you can do is turn the infrasonic filter on and not change the frequency it affects. Rockford has already set it inside with their circuitry.

So infrasonic on and start at 80hz and adjust slowly
