After reading it, I can see it possible to remove the sound from a Flathead engine ...

But I do not see how you would recreate the sound from a small block Chevy ???

If it can be done and you are willing to try ... Then I am tuned in for the results !!!

You will be immensely disappointed. There are so many factors to this it's not even funny. Cam timing, phasing, valve size, relation of primary iD and length to valve to bore, etc etc etc.

Also, it'd be a great way to kill about 45% of whatever power that 283 might make.

I have a super stocker cam for a stock 283 that will sound unlike anything you've ever heard...And you'll have to replace valve springs every mile, and valves every 4miles.

Why would anybody even make a cam like that, that shits insain if all you do is replace shit after installation. Also yall got to remember, Im not doing this seriously just as a fun fuckaround project.

Now that I think about it ... I have a Lunati Cam's 3/4 race cam and lifters for my old 283 Chevy small block.

Bought it for one of my trucks and never used it ... I think it will work on all old style small block Chevy engines ...

Wish I could find a mild cam set for my 49 Ford Flathead 6.

Check into Offenhauser, they may do a custom grind and surely have specs of cams they've done in the past. You can't be the first guy that's wanted to cam a Flat 6. Isky may be another Randal. I THINK, maybe even Matt(ParDeus) could possibly hook you up with either a company or the part.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
