negative runs

Recommended Posts

I think it depends on the vehicle.

If you are talking about ADDING a front to back - run, no it wouldn't hurt a thing but if you are talking about doing that instead of a proper frame ground in the rear, I say you are better off without it. All depends on the vehicle I guess. Enough front to back runs can be just as good or better than a frame ground in the rear in some instances, but we are talking about a whole lot of wire.

Well the run is already in there and its a 96 explorer. And the way I figured it is that power would travel with less resistance in a wire compaired to a frame. And as it was mentioned earlier I'm gonna swap the neg to a pos. And see the difference. Sucks batteries won't be here till Tuesday

To many variables to say really. Depends on the car, setup, etc etc...

do it and a good solid frame ground then test switching it to a pos run like said. Just see what works best.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
