03 s10 ext cab zr2 build *sundown*

So like the title says its an 03 s10 zr2. the goal for this build is to get a little bass and better sound then the horrendous factory set up that it had when i bought it.

equipment is as follows

deck- pioneer DEH80prs

front stage- polk mm6501 components

amps- sundown sax125.2 and sundown saz1500d

subs- sundown sa8v2's

batteries- currently front stock and 2 shuriken bt20's for rear (found on craigslist for nothing)

going to get an xs power up front and do big 3 shortly as well as deaden whole cab

here is the truck the day i bought it

im not a fan of the plastic wind deflectors so i took those off. here's how it looks currently, not a ton different but better imo

batts and subs

next up box build

box is roughly 1.2 cu ft net tuned to around 34hz

all the pieces cut and ready to assemble

port corners rounded

double baffle clamped

first hole cut

both cut plus port opening

gluing and clamping everything together

last 2 pieces

had to see what they looked like once it was all dry

edges all rounded over

sanded down rough spots and fixing a few mistakes

This is where im at now still have a long way to go, probably going to use bed liner to finish the box. This week i plan on pulling out the interior and getting started on deadening everything

thanks guys i hope to have time to pull the interior this week to deaden and run wires. my only issue right now is time due to working 6 to 7 days a week and being scheduled out for the next month. i hope to have it all wrapped up and playing as soon as possible though
