Krakin
Just with any other enclosure that needs to be tuned to a frequency, a dual chamber reflex will not need to be designed around other people's choice in tuning, but for the driver in use and the application it is use for. Here is a nice write-up on designing one. http://www.diysubwoofers.org/prt/dual_chamber.htm Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Aj11
i was seeing if others used one and.what tune they used. i know you can't really tune the second chambers port. it usually is higher then the first. that's because all Ports will be the same length and the chamber the sub is in is bigger then the other. for instance say the sub chamber is 3.5 and the other 2.5. if they both had a 6inch port 18inches long the sub chamber would be tuned to 30hz while the smaller 39hz. the port connecting them would.also be 18inches long. i know a Lil about them just seeing if anyone has used one. i will be using a slot vent not ports tho like this, still trying to figure out a Size thinking about 6ft gross maybe a Lil bigger because of sub displacement and the room all the ports will take up. from what i understand it acts allot like a sixth order but much smoother. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Aj11
thanks me to! i wanted something that not allot of others had. i think i found it! the sub I'm getting wont be in until the middle of May so the box wont be up and running for a Lil bit. that's why I'm doing so much research now. when everything gets here I'll do a build log and post vids to show. anyone else use/hear one? jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Aj11
they help control excursion levels at two different points. at some frequencies the sub doesn't "see" the other chamber it just acts like one big box jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
