sbg Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 Personally, i would have a ground for both amp and batt to the chassis. look at all the bug builds with batt banks. I haven't seen one yet with an issue grounding amps to the batts then batts to the frame/neg run to front. common grounds actually help prevent ground loop. one thing to remember/know doing it that way though is that if say you have 2 0 gauge wires from amp to batt you should have 2 0gauge grounds from batt to frame. Same amount of grounds as pos iis the best way to go imo. I'll have 2 o gauge pos runs so I'll have 2 0gauge grounds. alaskanzx5 Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 I'm only suggesting a better choice for the ground because I know you want to upgrade power. Eventually you are going to want some serious power and need a more solid ground. So in other words invest a few dollars in it now rather then later. Might not help much now or fix the issue but it will be beneficial later. make sure you check the rcas and speaker connections just in case. Could of bump and pulled at something but not noticed t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

Could of bump and pulled at something but not noticed I know man and I hear you loud and clear. I will try all the stuff you said. I just was saying it wasn't a screw.. I hope one of them things help. Think I will even add one more ground for the hc2400 to see if that does the trick. 01 focus se 110 amp alt Big 3 sky high and stinger hpm ofc 1/0 Super start platinum AGM (starting) 2 runs of 1/0 Execution audio front to back Kenwood double DIN DDx271 A pillars- orion 4" super tweeter and 2-1" alpines. jsawdy212 Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 I had the same model kenwood in my car and got "road noise" as well after shooting wires and checking all my grounds it turned out to be a ground internal to the radio causing the issue. I had to get a new radio. as for it pulling the voltage down that much in not sure. but if you ant to check at a local audio shop to see if one of there spare radios fixes the noise issue that would be a good place to start. 2007 caliber 2 Fi ssd 18's rd audio 3250 xs power d3100 (need 2 more) stock alt (soon to be singer 350a) 2.75:1 4th order in progress!

sbg Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 Yeah noise coming through speakers is a chase down of wiring and connections. Takes time and pertinence. I just went out and put about 1/4 turn more on my group terminal on the hc2400. And the noise went 97% away and was sitting at 14.1v.
