BigManAC
I am in the process of sealing off my trunk and I still want to be able to get to my spare tire or have trunk space if I go on a trip. Here is my idea and I was wonder if anyone has done it before. I could make a frame slot that is the size of the outside if my box and secure that to the trunk and seal that off in the trunk and make a lip on the front.. Then I could slide the box in and out at will. I would make it a tight fit and have a way to lock it in place so that it will still have no airflow going past the box. Would this work? 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw

BigManAC
I went ahead and did a sketch up just in case it was confusing. This is the trim piece, the triangle pieces would be sealed up against the rear dash and would have great stuff on them to seal it tight and the piece would be attached to the rear frame as well. Here is a top pic of the trim seal with the box in. The trim piece goes over the box for 5'' Front view of the trim and box. The whole trim piece would be secured to the trunk in multiple places and sealed. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw

timc31610
Should work as long as the seal between the permanent piece and the box itself is good. BigManAC
Thanks for the input guys. Right now I'm carpeting the box but I think I'm gonna try this and see how it goes. I'm gonna use great stuff to make sure everything is sealed up nice and tight 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
