Nikitaaa
no I'll be coming damn close soon tho. don't Get me wrong i have respect for anyone who can do a 150 especially with a modded prefab. but burps aren't my thing. if i wanted to strap my next build and burp it yea i could prolly burp a 150 but I'm allot happier doing 140s on musicNo worries, just wondering. Its not easy. Yes I can burp a 150 (outlaw), but, I also do 140s on music. It is very do able. But you're definitely going to need power. 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw
MoFatt0529
I had a perfab box that was 1.3 cubes tuned to 35hz, which would be my ideal box for my boston G1 10".... the port corners were not rounded and it was ugly and generic looking but it looked great in a close trunk! slowfkncar
doing a 150 on music i would be impressed. doing 3 second burps on a high tune prefab. yea its cool but id pass. rather sound good on music. then be a one Note wonder. 149 on music in my car still sounds just as bad as 150@40hz. If you could do 150db on music, you still cant enjoy it. Leaving you with nothing but bragging rights. Trust me,windows creaking, sunroof flapping, seats wobbling, doors flapping ect. It gets very very hard to enjoy music. Even after 1200$ of deadener and 200rms x 8 active components.
Aj11
haha, there are some decent prefab out there. I've owned 2 that i actually liked. but this prefab with 1.1 cubes and no port... i don't think you can buy a worse one! i honestly think they were making a good box for a pair of 8s and someone punched in the 12inch code to make the cut outs and they just said screw it sell em anyway! for real tho is there a term for a vented/ported enclosure with no tune? jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
alaskanzx5
I'm right there with you aj11, i would like a 150 but my new goal is a musical box and hopes of a 145-146. 2 15s in a 6-7cuft box tuned around 33-35hz on 3k with good electrical should get me there. Of course i plan on trying out 4+ different boxes to get what i want though. there is no way a prefab could do that for me. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Cant just have "no tuning". Believe it or not you can even tune a sealed box. 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw
Aj11
haha its funny to me. your doing 2 15s in 6ft on 3k I'll be doing 1 15 on 5k in 6ft not funny like oh I'm better, not like that. its just i don't have the room for 2 15s so I'm putting everything i got into one sub! i may even Try 7ft. i was thinking about interchange ports but since I'm putting much more then rated to my sub I'm doing a double chamber reflex box to control excursion at 2 different frequencies jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Build one that fits the specs of your subs then mess around with interchangeable ports. Much cheaper. it is cheaper, for each box I plan I'll be able to make slight changes to the ports as far as length/tuning goes. Reason for different boxes is different volumes ad port placement (up driver side, up middle, towards the driver side). 2 are slots 2 are round. 1 of the round port designs us actually going to be to manufacturer recommendation of 2.75cuft net per sub and 2 6" ports. Don't think I'll like that one but going to give it a try just because I can. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
