I thought to myself "The truck it came off of MUST HAVE HAD drop spindles, because I saw it inperson before it was junked". I walked up to the junky truck and BAM! Beneath all the rust I see the emblem "BELL TECH"......2" inch drop spindles!!!!!!! I quickly removed them forked over $50.00!!!! Ran home for a good power wash cleaning, wire brush scrubbing...and painting! Sexy metal!! -Frank

Bought it around 2000 and had to sell it around 2004 or so. Loved that bike, my first street bike actually. Heavy pig, but lots of fun. Then I got my R1 not too long after that. Deeznutz
Let the BASS BEGIN!! Ripped out the box and amp as a unit. OMG that was really stupid and heavy. lol. Here was the original design. Dual sub box with 17" ports firing to the back, chrome sub magnets displayed, as well as the Chrome Xtant displayed. But than I bought a 3rd sub. I am keeping the design, except making it a sealed box design. 3.78 cf. 1.26 cf per sub. Each sub takes up about .12 cf displacement so inverted, the box will act more like a 4 cf box. It should sound better and deeper and def. more accurate. I tried the ported box, way too boomy for my taste. She will learn to like it! Hahaha. Just need to add the triangle sides, sub mounting plate and front of the box piece to complete. Will finish it tomorrow. I like the diplayed look. I will have to make some sort of fiber glassed sloped effect to blend the box to the interior. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanted to fiberglass 3 mounting rings and go to town, but I just want to get done with this truck. lol. -Frank

Deeznutz
So we had her birthday party this weekend, I demo'ed the truck's system for her and her friends. MAJOR FAIL playing radio music. The subs in a sealed box did not play right, sounded muddy and not clear at all. Might have been the radio reception in her area. Even with the Ipod, the bass sounded "boosted". The following day I went back to the drawing board and back to Home Depot! $62.00 in MDF. I googled square port designs and it bought me to DYICarstereo.com. Something like that. I plugged in 3 12's 32Hz tuning frequency 5.25Cf Xmax of 11.4mm. I was given a 7.75" side wall x 23.70" length square port. So I made a new box prototype. Not as fancy as the other design, no sub magnets showing, no angles, no recesses. May have to do it over again. All I can say is, "not bad for 3 entry level subs". Sounds WAY BETTER than the American Bass I tried last month!!! Less rumble when the radio DJ talks, Bass gets low. Certain songs sound AWESOME, while others you have to adjust the bass knob up or down. "Bailando" by Enrique Iglesias has to be turned down due to too much feedback, while Izzy Azelea's "Black Widow" ABSOLUTELY SLAMS with massive amounts of air movement!! I should finish the build in the next two weeks since I have to hand over the keys in Sept! Than onto my next project! Now to tackle the front stage, getting a used set of Eclipse 8062's since the Polk Audio could not handle the claimed "90 Watts RMS". More like 45'ish watts!!! -Frank
Deeznutz
The truck is nearing completion. Walking through the junk yard I found these seat covers. So I yanked them for $7.00. She loves Mossy Oak and Browning stuff. She's a country girl! (I'm not!) I found a small leak in the exhaust so I changed it and bought a flo-master equivalent and added a chrome rolled tip. She sounds FREAKIN' MEAN!!! Nice and throaty. After doing the exhaust, hell... you can't have an exhaust without an intake. So I put this thing on. She idles even better now. Hard to believe she has 238,000 miles on the clock. Having a lull in the ER, which doesn't always happen, I was trolling the internet at 0200 in the morning and found a guy in AZ that was selling a COUSTIC CF1244 for $75.00. $100.00 and 4 Days later she arrived, but with a broken lead mount. I had to expoy it back on. I took my time. Time will tell if she will hold. With this new sub. Now I had 4, just like my ol' S-10 had! Now we're cookin' with grease! Time to make a new box! Doing the recessed thing with the amps and subs. Going with the Mossy Oak them, I went to get gray carpet and FOUND THIS THING! MOSSY OAK REPLACEMENT CARPET! This would go great with the seats. Almost done with the box. I have about 8 hours into the box, started last night at 9 pm. Taking a break for lunch! -Frank
